Default Oil leak question

I ahve read some other forums and have seen alot of talk about a belly pan issue on the manifold. Somhowe it lets oil pool up in manifold and usually occurs on passenger side. Nowmost instances have been with 2nd gen rams but have seen a few on first gens. Only reason i ask is i pulled plugs about a week agothe back most passenger side plug was covered in oil. And there looked like there was oil shoting past spark plug and out on to the wire boot, like bad blowby. But i checked all others not one had any trace of oil on them. Could this be my problem, i haven't checked down inside the manifold but will thi weekend. Any ideas about it? And if this is it how do i fix this "belly pan gasket".

I have done no research on this so I am ignorant, but if oil is in the intake manafold, how can it get on the plug wire unless there is a secondary malfunction? You would need to have a bad plug/loose/stripped plug to get oil on the outside. Have you tried a compresion test? I'd try that first (with the old Tbs of oil trick to check for blow-by second).

I'd be pulling that plug! There shouldn't be any thing blowing out around or through it.

Well this didn't happen when i pulled the plugs originally when i bought it. I changed them because the guy i bouht it from said it couldn't ever remeber changing them and they looked pretty old. Changed plugs and wires, got a set of duralast wires and bosch plugs. Well they were ok for awhile until truck started missng. Pulled plugs and all were flaking off and just nasty. Had same problem with oil thing, the one was covered, none of the others. Changed to set of Champions and i am still getting the oil coated plug but without the blowby. Also that plug when i had the Bosch's inhad to be consistentlyretightened, wasn't coming real loose but when you went to tighten it two whole turns of the rachet were needed before it got tight. Any ideas?

Make sure it was not cross threaded at one time causing it to feel tightened but not completely tight and sealing, allowing compression to force oil out around the plug.

As for the engine miss and the leak out throught the plug, I'd agree with charlie 1935 & moparborn. Even if there is an "oil pooling" issue, there is another (2ndary) issue going on. Before you try and pull the intake maniforl, why not try a compression ck? Test it, then add a tsp or so of oil to the cyl. If the comp is better, your rings are probally the issue, if not, it could be anything from the head gasket, to "pooling oil" in the intake manifold.
