Default Limited slip conversion sources?

Okay, I have a 1985 D150 318 auto truck. It is very obvious that it has a open differential. I plan on doing some towing with the truck in the future, plus some trips to the strip for fun. I would like a inexpensive and functional limited slip diff. Since I am new to trucks completely, does anyone have a suggestion? I am not 100% sure, but I believe the truck has a 9-1/2 or 9-1/4 rear end.

Your help and guidance is appreciated.

And by inexpensive, I mean $100-200. So far I have found Auburn.

Thanks for the reply, I'll be checking Sechrists this summer when it warms up. They crushed a lot of their truck stuff though.

Yeah, the boneyards, or maybe get lucky and stumble on to one. Bought a whole '88 pickup for $200, the S.G. is now under my 4x4. Haven't seen any new parts for less than $350. BTW your up in Canada right?

Nope, the great state of Pennsylvania! A little southwest of Pittsburgh.

Larry,

I am about 45 min south of Pittsburgh on 51. Perryopolis PA . Sechrists is about 10 minutes away. They are located at Dawson PA. http://www.sechristautoparts.com/ They just changed ownership and crushed a LOT. Their prices are reasonable most of the times. Sometimes the guys at the front are nice and sometimes they are A holes. It's been a while since I have been up there. Let me know what you need. They are even open Sat and Sunday. I usually try to go Sunday AM. ~~Heath
