i want to keep most of the truck stock as its only purpose is for farm work.. I might @ a later date put on elderbrock valve covers. So whatever oem is what i need correct?

what I meant by rebuilding it was replaceing gaskets and o rings autozone sells a kit( Gp-Sorensen)to do this. http://www.autozone.com/R,APP529979/...ductDetail.htm

I'd probably wait and put the Projection computer in at the same time as the throttle body. The Projection might work just fine but there could also be minor differences that the stock computer wouldn't recognize. If you wait for the stock computer to fry you might be waiting a while. I've NEVER had a computer fry on one of my vehicles.
