holley projection kit for 318
Bought an unopened complete holley projection kit for a 318 engine for around $100 @ a auto part swap.
I was thinking about installing it should my 89' dodge's computer fry.
But was wondering if i could just swap out throttle bodies without installing the holley computer etc till my dodge's computer fries. The current older holley throttle body right now needs cleaning/rebuilt(maybe even some new sensors needing to be replaced).
What should I do??

Yeah it's possible to go carbed, but why? A rebuilt T.B. would cost less than a conversion, unless you already have the carburated parts. I did away with the carb and went to factory '88 T.B.I. on my '86 4x4 Ramcharger. Vast improvement. No off camber flooding, no cold start woes, 3mpg better on gas. As for the Projection, like most aftermarket stuff, it uses G.M. sensors. I'll give you$101.50 Is your 'ol truck running pretty bad?
Either you can have the injectors cleaned or replace them(I would replace them),Use carb cleaner on the throttlebody,as far as cleaning/rebuilding thats about all you can do,maybe a new base gasket all the other parts pretty much work or don't.

oem part if staying stock, maybe venom if modifications are planned.
I ran venoms in my 93 daytona and was very satisfied.
You will need to check around for aftermarket parts availability.
