got a 86 power ram 50 w/2.6 4 cyl. The reed tube(Metal)that attaches to the top of the exhaust manifold and loops around into it looks like an egr valve. then from this valve a rubber line goes to the air cleaner.The metaltube has holes in it and exhaust and noise leaks out. It's to loud to drive. I contacted dodge but they have know where I can fine one. Can I just disconnect from the exhaust manifold and plug the hold ? How is the best way to remove this from the exhaust mainfold ?

That is what I did is plug it But we have no emisions to comply with sorry about the spelling

 

you might have trouble finding a plug with the right treads
