the vin will not tell you if it had a trans cooler. it tells things like engine type, where it was made, 2x4 or 4x4 etc...
go here anddecode thein the vin
http://www.dodgeram.org/tech/specs/VIN_decode.htm

ps
i dont think that 1st gen rams came with a trans cooler anyhow

dealers can usually get that for free, at least in canada they can...

so sometimes if you just say "ok i wanna buy it but not untill you get me the vehicle's history"

even if you dont really want it ten you can just say somerthing on the report is buggin you

If you want to know what was equipped by factory on your truck, look for the sticker under your hood. It tells paint code, tranny type, etc.
