Default 82 Ram W250 - needs work!!!

I have a 1982 Dodge Ram W250, with a 360 engine. I assume it has the 727 and the 208, but I am unsure. I put it in 4wd mode awhile ago and the thing made a loud clunking sound. I was going slow so I stopped and put it back into 2wd. Would that be the tc or the front diff doing that. It is fine in 2wd.

The 208 rebuild kit is like $200, which seems expensive. It would be nice to get a 205 and make it divorced, but I have no idea how much the 3 driveshafts would cost me.

You're not supposed to use 4X4 on dry surfaces, so it was probably just the system fighting itself. If you can get into mud, or some other slippery surface, try itand see what it does.
