Default Pics of my '84

Here's one of Ol Greeny. It's due for a rework, new mtr, susp, and a repaint. This build is 5yrs old. The 440 in it has been in the family for thirty years and still kickin' ***. This old mtr. went 12.91 in a different truck. Not that stout now.
The paint's banged up pretty bad on the bed. Has a black interior and center console/bucket seats out of a '77.
The Air Grabber was functional once upon a time, but I'm always swapping intakes and carb spacers around,so now there's just an 'illegal' open air cleaner.
The hood is off a '77 also.

Sweet. Did you notch the frame for the big block?I`ve heard alot of people say that`s the only way to get a fat motor in a truck. How about some engine pics?

Looks good. You should add an 8-71 blower.

As a matter of fact, I did notch the frame to get the 2 center header tubes to clear on both sides.Back when I started my love affair with big block trucks, there were no headers available that I could find,so I built a set of 2' fenderwell headers. Later I went with motorhome 1 7/8' headers, and had 'em sprayed with aluminum.[Cost me a 30 pak] They area total painto install. I beleive they are available now for this swap. A factory big block brake booster is required, although I did manage to shoe hornmine in without it by dimpling the valve cover a little. That's another thing that I'm gonna swap out.

Yep,that's 'Ol Bumpy. Ain't much for looks, but it's been rock solid. Put about 21,000 mi on it so far,and not a minutes trouble. Drove it 1800 mi
on a trip to Colorado last year. Put together outta stuff I had laying around. I gave $200 for the 360 4-5 yrs ago, rebuilt the trans and front axle, all new u-joints,the rear end, fuel inj. outta the '88. Cold A/C,decent stereo, tilt, cruise etc. Wheels pretty good too for what it is,limited slip rear, open front.

I bet I can drag you AND the dozer behind my truck. Or he can drag us both home after we destroy our rigs trying to pull eachother. Which ever comes first.

I really ain`t got much done lately though, been sick as a dog for about 7 days. If you saw the cold sore on my lip you`d think I been in a bar fight. That`s ok though, just waitin` for my money from Uncle Sam so I can get back to work on it.

I'm not makin' much headway on any of my projects either. Guess I'm gonna have to get a second job. Then I'll have more money an' no time. The carport deal is damn near at a standstill because prices have jumped so much. Uncle Sam's 'stimulus' ain't going to be much more than a minor itch.
