overdrive!
hola i have a 92 D150 and heres my problem... when im cruising in overdrive, the trans likes to shift from od to 4th then back again every 10 or so seconds. but it only seems to do it when its like 70+ degrees? dont know why though. any guesses on this? is their some kind of sensor that could be pooping out on me? and the tran oil is fine for a fact.
The rpm will come up some if it's the converter. Step on the brake just enough to turn on the brake lights and see if it levels out. The converter unlocks
when you step on the brakes. It's possible the speed sensor could cause this. The '92 trans doesn't use turbine sensors etc. for O.D.,the dash switch enables a hyd. circuit which is controlled by the govener/kickdown like any other 3 spd Torqueflite. Yours is dropping from 4th to3rd btw if it's actually dropping O.D.,
