Default Anyone use a shift kit?

I am looking at a transgo stage 1 shift kit for my 904 in my 1985 d100 318/904 shortbed pickup.

ANybody have any opinions on these?

They're great kits, easy to install and very effective, I've installed a few for friends and liked the results. One thing though, what kind of shape is your tranny in? If it's got some serious miles on it you should probably rebuild and re-adjust it before installing the kit. New bands usually compliment a shift kit well.

I am thinking of getting a B&M Shiftkit but dont know exactly how much of a difference it would make.

The truck has 85K miles on it, I don't thenk they were hard miles.

I believe that is the same kit I used,(tfod 500,518,618).
I am please with it,easy to install,quick firm shifts.
