Ah finally got one drum off. Took 2 days, about 1/2 a can of liquid wrench and me trying to ring the bell at the carnival.

A BFH is my favorite wrench. LOL. Well except maybe for a torch.

Finally finished up this project yesterday. Had a few hangups but otherwise a damn easy swap. The drivetrain all bolted right up. Man what a difference with the 3.55 over 2.76. I can actually spin the tires on a wet road now The real test is tomorrow dragging the boat around but I'm pretty sure it's gonna get the job done. If it doesn't I'm burning it and buying a new truck so it's win-win.

When my rearend went out the first time i replaced it with a 9.25 and all i had to do was match up u-joints. But then again the axle was from the same year 3/4 ton pickup. I have a 1/2 ton, also i lost usage of the rear abs sensor that mounts on the axle top.
