One thing I would add to your build is a Borgesen or Flaming Red River steering shaft to your build and get rid of the junky steering shaftjoint at the steering box. I have an '84 W-150 with 4" Skyjacker lift with all new springs, no blocks in the rear. It will run down the road straight at 70+ mph. I don't do that much, it's a SWB.
Swapped in 4.10 gears in both ends with a Detroit in the rear. Pulls great, sucks on the street with banging and chirping tires, typical of Detroits. Bullitproof........ Just hope my axleshafts hold up.
