Default Exhaust help

I cut the cat off and ran a straight pipe to a cherry bomb, the only problem is that the air line that comes off the manifold to the cat blows air and makes an annoying sound is there anything I can do to fix this?

Take two metal plates big enough to cover the rear ports on the exhaust manifolds, drill a bolt hole add some tex and put them in place of the plumbing, thats what I did.
Or you could use visegrips and close off the tube.

Thanks for the help. If I did just close it off is it possible for the pressure to blow it apart or anything?
