Thumbs up Free Parts!!!!!!!!!!

I have a stock throttle body, ecu, distributor, and intake manifold from my 1988 W100 5.2L. They are free to a good home, just pay the shipping and they`re yours. The engine ran with these parts installed, the harness was just too hacked up to save and I hate TBI, so I changed it over to a 4-barrel. This would be good for somebody doing a conversion on an older truck, or maybe someone with damaged parts. The intake is a little rusty on top, but nothing that you couldn`t clean up with a wire brush or media blasting. Like I said though-FREE! I just want to see somebody get some use from them.

Send 'em to me. I like my carb to TBI conversion, it'll stand on either bumper [or door]with no flooding. Pretty nice when I don't have to put down my beer to crank the truck.
Don't need the manifold, but the ECU and TB might come in handy some day. The stuff off your truck has alot less miles on it.
Here's your chance to get even with me for the freight bill on your "free" front end. Don't be stickin' bricks in the box either lol.

I wouldn`t do that. Lead weighs alot more. That TB looks pretty good still, and the truck ran smooth with it. Just wasn`t enough grunt for me, I needed something that would lope.

Maybe I`ll throw a goat in the box so you can test that.

Neihbor's got the goat. Send me a diamond. 7-8 ct should be big enough to not fall out if glued in with Preparation H.

That was the most disturbing thing I`ve read today. Wow. I was thinking, do you have a power steering pump? I would trade you the ecu and throttle body for a pump and the little piece under the column. I`ll take care of the shipping if you want to do that. Might be a few weeks when I get a job, but that would help us both out.

LOL! Maybe I've worked in the oilpatch too long. Sun's fried my brain. I'll check and see if I have a decent PS pump. Should have. Need the brackets too? What about the alternator/regulator? You gonna run Mopar or or a single wire GM ? Or is doing away with the A/C the reason for the idler pulley? Since there's no fuel pump in the way you could mount the alt down low with some fabbed bracketry. I've still got the '88 with the mtr in it, could whip you up some brackets if you don't have the stuff to do it.

Gotta go to my Dad's and work around his lake place for the weekend. He's just been diagnosed with congestive heart failure, hasn't been too spry lately. At 78 he still digs post holes, swings an ax,works outside in the 100 deg. heat all day. Hope I can keep up with him. Let me know what you need.

It was because I eliminated the A/C. I still have my alt. and near as I can tell it works. At least if I read a voltmeter right, it would be nice if my gauge worked, but that`s minor details. I figured that when I get ready to put it on the road I`ll get a spring loaded idler arm or something like that. I saw a serpentine belt conversion at Summit, but it ain`t worth $600!

If he`s having congestive heart failure, you better KEEP HIM INSIDE! That heat is just asking for him to have a heart attack. Tie him down if you have to. My mom just had back surgery last week. The doctor found a huge spur when he got in, but she`s doing good. Now dad has to see a pulminary specialist because he has very little lung function. They think it could be from his exposure to agent orange. I hope your dad`s ok though.

Got rained out. Got the roof on his garage fixed though. Having a family reunion down there in a couple weeks, trying to get things in shape. Tellin' Dad to quit workin' is 100% futile. He'd rather die sweatin' than layin' in bed. Can't say as I blame him. His arteries are pretty clear, just the heart muscle is gettin' weak.
Yeah,$600 is too much. I'll look tomorrow for you a pump. Tell your folks I said howdy and hope they get to feelin' better.

I was looking at my truck yesterday, and I noticed it doesn`t have a slip yoke on the rear driveshaft. The driveshaft telescopes. Was that standard on these trucks? I`ve never seen that as a factory option. And I was thinking, if running a T in the line would dump too much pressure back, could I put a needle valve in it? That way I could keep the pressure high enough and still get some return flow. I don`t know if that would work, but it sounds interesting.

The slip yoke's on the shaft from the factory. They make an inline pump that would probably feed the 318 all it needs since sustained high RPMs ain't gonna be an issue.[At least 'till you tie on to 'ol Bumpy] You could pick one up at most parts stores for about $30. It's a diaphram "pusher" type pump,no regulator or return required. You can upgrade later if it won't feed it @ WOT.
