Default high idle 89' power ram

Well after driving my power ram around it seems the idle is set a little high. I can put it in gear and it move on its own especially in 4wd. The previous owner said it didnt pass inspection a yr ago due to high idle and bad o2 sensor. To adjust the idle I need to first let it warm up then shut it off hook up a tach reader to tell me what its at, unplug the coolent sensor disconnect the isc cable adjust the bolt till the tach reads 2750-2850 reconnect isc connector and the coolent sensor cable then reset the computer right?? Did I miss anything?

I`d start by checking for vacuum leaks. Then if that doesn`t work, I wouldn`t worry about disconnecting anything, just back that screw out until it sounds like it`s running right.
