Question Tires Question

I have a 1985 D150 that I just put a 3 inch lift on the back, and a 2 inch lift on the front. I currently have stock tires all the way around but I am thinking of putting on 33's. Will these tires be to big for the front, I kno they will fit the back, but I am worried about the front rubbing. Any opinions would be great.

A 4" lift all around will give you about a foot and a half of clearance with 33's on 15" wheels if that helps

33s will be close to the lower corners @ 2" but should clear. Just keep wheel offset in mind.

Thanks for the info guys, I think I am just going to go for a set of 31's that I saw for sale today, I kno they will deff clear, and probably look better than the stock tires that are on the truck now.

I dont know how close it would be but I'm going to be fitting (or at least trying to) a set of 33X12.5X15 BFG MT's on my 1992 W150 tomorrow or the next day, could let you know if it would help. The truck is stock height which should be close to where yours is now, Only issue I could see is if the frame is narrower on the front of a 4wd vs a 2wd.

The 33's are a no go (big surprise!) 2" all around would be close but probabally do-able.

I met a guy last week with a 93 w150 running 31-11.5-15's and said he has had no problems on the stock suspension. I picked up a cheap (too cheap to pass up) set of 32-11.5-15's today that I will be getting mounted friday or saturday hoping I'll be okay.

Ever get your new tires?

I had 32-11.5-15 Wrangler AT/S's mounted on 15 x 7 factory steelies on my old 87 W150, stock suspension. No clearance issues, although with spirited cornering/steering, the tires would sometimes lightly contact the fender lip but it was minor. I think 32's are probably as big a tire that would work without a lift.

Got them on tonight, a couple of the rims were pretty rusty on one side, took me two and a half hours to get them mounted and to break the rusted lug nuts free. The rims I put them on are 15X8's, they fit great and look awesome. Cant wait till morning now, gotta give them a polish and wash it down then I'll snap some pics.
