Transmission Problems

The pan is flat, no buldge so I guess its the 904. I think i will have to take it in to a shop. It just seems so odd that if you drive at normal speed and acceleration, you never would know there is an issue.

Well I just spoke to a mechanic, and he said 4 turns means 4 turns of the screw a full 360 degrees, I dont think I did full turns. I guess I have to drop the pan again and correct that.

I pulled the pan again, adjusted both the kickdown, and the lowend reverse bands. Refilled the trans, and took it for a drive. It backed up ok, then I put in in D and it started slipping, and would not move for a few seconds. Then out of nowhere there is a huge clunking metal sound like something broke free, and the truck took off, and is running pretty good. I have to get it inspected tomorrow so I am going to see what my mechanic thinks. Thanks everyone for their help. At least now its very drivable

man good luck. ive said it before: transmissions are like voodoo to me. fingers crossed for a Christmas miracle.
