Default mess of a transmission

so i mentioned a little back, i had my truck up on jacks for a couple of days, and in combinaiton with the slope of my driveway and worn out transmission seals, i leaked all the fluid out. Then, not yet knowing what had happened, i drove it for a week and half all the while wondering why its running like a complete bag and making a burning smell.

So anyhow now its leaking fluid at all times. I added some stop leak, but that only seems to have slowed the rate of leak. I suspect there are broken teeth since it grinds here and there. I dont mind a few rough edges, but i cant be adding a litre of oil every week. my question is this, should i try just changing the seals to stop it leaking, or is the damage likely so bad that im burning through fluid and it needs a rebuild?

Second, is dropping the pan and changing the seals just as easy as removing the bolts i see holding it on...

thnaks!

I don`t know what transmission you have, but I can sell you a cheap one from an old Ramcharger. I believe it has a 904 trans.

The problem would be the shipping cost. I could drop it at a freight yard and have it shipped to your town, but it would probably cost several hundred dollars.
