mine is 8 lug as well, I had a hell of a time getting the correct front wheel bearings for it. When i went to advance auto and got them the first time i took it apart and they were smaller than the one's given. so i took them back with the old ones, me and the guy got in a pissin match about if it was a 250 or not saying they only have a 5 lug 250 bearing listed (which was a bigger bearing). so i went to the napa store and got the number off them and they called for a d150 bearing.I cant believe they would use them on a 250,it has a giant rotor with a little tiny hole milled for the bearings. I do have the dana 60 rear in it though. but thats another story.

If it`s built from several trucks, I would bet that the chassis may be a 1 ton. I have never seen 8 lugs on a 250 before.

Older ford rims should fit. I've never heard of a 3/4 ton dodge without 8 lugs. My truck is a 318 2wd with an 8 lug 9.25. All major parts are factory except the transmission.

i had a b250 with 5 lugs. pretty much all 8 bolt rims use the same pattern but it is the hole in the center that changes.

Dodge used the designation of light and heavy duty with their 3/4 tons. The light duty ones used 5 lugs and the heavy duty used 8 lug. It never really made much sense to me but that is the way they did it.

The 5 lugs are semi-floating axles and the 8 lugs are full floating axles. With semi-floating axles the load is supported by the axle and with full floating axles the load is supported by the differential housing.
