so what al lines should have a vacume going there them? and my buddys dad sayed it could be a pluged egr does that sound right?

You may not use all of the vacuum ports. As 83 said cap off any unused ports. The reason you have to use the same port for your distributor line is that it is a ported vacuum source. Read ported as limited. This is very important. Before looking at the EGR or anything else be absolutely sure your vacuum lines are correct. You can get vacuum diagrams that explain where everything goes from your local library on their computer. They will help you find this information.

all the vacumme lines are corect but they dont have anything going trew them i pulled the egr off and it was just black carbon everywhere i cleaned it but dont have a chance to see if it fixed it would that have caused none of my vacuem lines but two to not have anything??

well i found some bubbling at the front of my intake manifold gasket and too the intake off and what did i find was that it almost sucked the whole back into the engine would this have caused my problems?

The loss of vacum would certainly make the engine run rough when you could get it to run. I recall once buying a truck from the local mechanic because he couldn't get it to run nearly at all. Come to find out he had pulled the intake and tried to seal it back up with RVT , without gaskets.

well the intake gasket didnt fix it any ideas?
