Default 72 Dodge Pick Up

Hi guys i have a 72 Dodge Pick Up with a 360 engine and it would not start. My buddy said it was starter realay. I went out and bought one and he put it in. Now when you hook up battery cables truck will crank with no key in ignition. Any kind of help would be great Thanks Bob

do you mean cranks all the time as soon as the battery is hooked up if so he's got to wires together the big round one should not be touching the little one above it

Dont let your buddy fix your truck anymore....
Sometimes that relay or the ignition module which is usually on the firewall takes a crap and without it the engine will not turnover at all.

The smaller wire at the starter should not have power to it unless you are starting it with the key.
