Default Power Windows

So the power windows in this w150 i just bought are not working at all (both of them). I thought since they both went out at the same time (i think they didnt work when i bought them) it was just a fuse, replace it thats not the problem.
So i pulled the door panel off and there is juice going to the connections to the motor from the switch up and down...
Im assuming that the motors are bad. Just want to get your input before i buy new motors and attempt to replace them.

Thanks!

Hold the switch down and knock the hell out of 'em. Sometimes they stick, or the brushes get dirty. Also, got a ground from the switch?

Just wondering about the ground since neither motor works. You can just whack the door with your fist and sometimes they will come to life.

If the drivers switch is bad it keep the passenger side from working due to how its wired.

Ok well i tried smacking on the motor with a hammer a little and that didnt help...
As for the ground I looked at the wiring and there is two wired coming from the switch (driver) to the motor, 1 up 1 down, at least that is what the test light indicated. i bought a chiltons for the truck and there is no wiring diagram for the windows in it.
where would the ground wire be?
also is there a good way to test the motor using some type of external power without taking it out of the door?

Thanks

JM

What year is your W150 so I can try to help you? There are different wiring diagrams for different years.

The motor should be grounded through its mounting or a ground wire from the motor itself, apply power to one wire then the other going to the motor.
What year and model is this truck?
It may have a circuit breaker,or?
Is it the 04 dakota?
My wifes gave us trouble,it was the lock button on the drivers door for the window,it may be in the switch.
