Default Thermo Replacement

usually I also flush the radiator when I change thermo's.....so I let all of the coolant drain, flush, install thermo and new gasket , tighten back up drain screw...fill her up and let her run for about 30 minutes to make sure you don't have any leaks and also ck to see if new thermo operates properly

all the anti freeze that comes out is just whats in the hose. just pull the thermostat and replace then mop up on top of intake

It will also come out of the manifold where the thermostat goes there by leaving the radiator low.
