truck is a 86 and it has that smog pump stuff that is not hooked up.i want to remove it but i am not sure what to do with the neg battery cable and brace on the back(has 2 springs connected)?where can i put the cable and what do i do with the brace?anybody with pic of 1 removed(smog pump) thanks tooltime

 

Take a look at my pics of my engine in my gallery.
You can bolt the ground to the front of the head and use a simple bracket for the springs.

 

if you do bolt it to the head clean the metal around the hole so that the connection does not overheat and not start once and a while. you could just use a nut and bolt to the emission pump bracket. did that with my truck.
