Start here: http://www.transmissioncenter.net/727transmission.htm

If you want step by step, check out these:

A) Mopar factory manual

B) Carl H. Monroe's book "Torqueflite A-727 Transmission Handbook" ISBN 1-55788-413-7 http://www.themotorbookstore.com/tor...nsmission.html

C) ATSG's Manual A727/904 http://www.700r4l60e.com/store/produ...?productid=229

D) Petersen's "Dodge Pick-up Repair" ISBN 0-8227-5043-0 http://www.bookfinder.com/dir/i/Dodg...ir/0822750430/

Get them all.............good references

you should find out how much it would cost at the local transmision shop to do because it might be easier if you don't know what your doing. i just thought about this you should check out davidsfarm on youtube he did a couple of videos on transmisions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydlRegFEaIk

Go to your local library and find your tranny in the professional manuals they have there. For about 2-3 dollars at the copy machine you will have complete detailed instructions on your tranny. The problem with auto trannys is not the knowledge needed to repair/rebuild them it is the cost of the special tools that you need.
