i own a dakota but we have a 87 d350 sitting at work so i was thinking about building that motor up a lil bit and puttin git into the dakota. but i haven't had anyluck finding anyhting more than rebuild kits for that engine, i havent found out what parts swap onto it from the newer engines (yet) to allow for a super/turbo charged setup.

tryin to get the ball rolling(planning), havent had much luck finding a starting point on my own (websites and what not) . didnt think modding an american rig would require more research for parts than my vw fox.

 

we need more info. like engine size...

 

it is a 5.9L v8 360 (gas)

 

Turbos aren`t very popular, but I have seen blown ones. I just don`t know where they got the parts from.

 

Just buy the parts that are NOT magnum engine parts. Summit has them as does everybody else. I believe you can turn that into a 408 with a stroker kit.

 

you could build a custom turbo system. people do it all the time. my dads friend use to do it all the time to gutless 6 cylinders.
