Default Need a new air intake hose

I need a new air intake hose, mine fell off and burned a hole on the bottom. Where can I find one?

you could just use some ducktape to fix the hole.

They may have a problem with regular duck-tape so use the metalasized tape for ducts.It is non flamable and will last forever.

its only a air intake hose. it not that important. i don't have one on my truck. i figure as long as the truck has an air filter it is ok.

If you are talking about that short piece that runs from the underside of the air cleaner's snorkel to the "stove" that encases part of the exhaust manifold, you should be able to find that piece in an auto parts store. Here, we could buy those at our local Canadian Tire store. You could also use a length of that stuff known as "Flexhose" a flexible exhaust pipe you could buy in a roll. Do they still make that stuff? (Have recently seen big trucks with a version of that running from the muffler to the stack.)

It is on there so your engine brings in heated air off the exh. manifold when it is cold until that diaphragm (Vacuum) motor re-directs that damper inside the snorkel. But, guess in your area there is no danger of your carburetor freezing up when it is blowin' and snowin'............

i don't think his vehicle is carburated

The truck is fuel injected. The hose I need connects from the round air cleaner to that air intake under the grill.

I have also seen the metal flexible dryer vent hose used.

i am missing that hose also.the p.o. said that it fell off and landed on the manifold and was destroyed.i aslo dont have the part that goes on the manifold for a hose that goes to the air filter canister pipe for some reason
