I say it's too much.

I paid $700 for my 98,000 mile D100 though it's a V6. I paid $500 for my 84 D250 but that had some cab and bed rot.

While you're Chain Hauled and Embarrassingly Venting Yourself,
or Found On the Road Dead,
I'll be Driving One Damned Greasy Engine.

Anyways, my 93 (w/ Magnum) was only 2k, and that was steep. Long story short, my stepdad bought and abused it before handing it to me. It was in a lot better shape when he got it for the 2k. Look around, see what other comparable Rams in say about a 250 mile radius are going for. Focus more on the closer ones though. I could have bought an 87 in better shape than my 93 for $500 in Nebraska... But down here in Fl, same truck would go for $1800. So, the market for used Rams is really quite regional. I am sure you can get a better deal though. I'm really in love with the 93s, so naturally, I'm going to tell ya to keep an eye out for those
