I recently bought my 87 D150 LE for $1100....has 146K original miles and it is in really good shape. Was always garaged, never molested, has new brakes, and great tires...he wanted $1500, but the old Rams are not as popular as the Chevies....don't know why, as I think they are better trucks and last longer...oh well

$3K is a lot depending on the year....

The main reason old chevy"s are more popular is that they have better after market support.

Default Decide early what your intentions are

Decide early your plan and stick to it.
I said I was looking for an old daily driver. Looks didn't matter.

I paid 1600 for my 82 with 71,500 miles on it. Ran ok. But knew it could be better.

Hads some dents, but no rust. Looked a little rough, but nothing an awesome 1700 dollar paint job couldnt cure. (sky blue with white side panels) and now, it IS beautiful.

A/C needed to be converted..... door deals, radio speakers, window cranks, brakes........

You get my drift. I now own a near perfect $5000 318 Dodge with 75,000 miles.

BUT AINT NOBODY IN TOWN GOT ONE LIKE IT !!!!!!!

theres plenty of these rolling around so if he wont come down then just keep looking. lots of trucks like this on kijiji and craigslist.

That's because they always break down.
