D100 or D150?
It says D100 on the side. The previous owner put 33s on it and the controls are in the cab. Looks stock to me. But I am not sure. I need to get the speed calibrated on it cause of the bigger tires. Anyone know where I can find trim parts for this truck? And please dont say junk yards. Looked in a lot of those lately with no luck.
I am having the same exact issue. The registration says it's a D100, but the badges on the truck say D150. Since it is a 1980 truck, the VIN is only 13 digits long and most websites don't recognize it as a VIN. When I google either truck I get a few different truck, some with a completely different bed. I have been looking for parts to fix it on Rockauto and it doesn't even have a D100 option for that year.

Look for a sticker that says "Non-Catalyst". That's the difference between a 100 and 150. The D150 had slightly heavier springs to get the GVW up enough to be exempt from having a catalytic converter. On my '84 it was on the drivers side inner fender on the front side behind the headlight.

brakes are 11 (150) vs 10 inch drums, and some have a smaller wheelbolt pattern.[/QUOTE
Up to about 1980/82, all 1/2 ton pickups used 5 on 4 1/2 bolt patterns. Around 1983/84, the 4X4 trucks got the bigger bolt pattern. By the late 1980's, all Dodge 1/2 tons got the bigger bolt pattern.

the D100s had a lower GVW like 4800-ish, the D150s had a heavier one around 6000-ish. Really the only difference between them MIGHT be an extra leaf in the rear springs. Either could have any engine or trans or gearing that the other one could have. When they came out with the "D150" designation I seem to remember the GVW had to be 6001+ for the "heavy duty emissions" which really meant "minimal emissions" tacked on.
I had a 78 D 200 and a 78 D300 and neither one even had a charcoal canister.....or an EGR valve. Blocked off from the factory
