Default 60 Front Compatibility

Does anyone know if a 60 front from a 2nd Gen Ram will swap into my '89? I know they're leaf spring setups on the newer ones but I don't know if the perches and shock mounts are the same, etc. I'm looking at one on craigslist right now and I want to know what I'm getting myself into. Thanks for any info.

if your looking at a 94 or newer 60 front it wont fit in your 1st gen, the 2nd gen axles are coil spring and 4 link setups, and the diff is on the driver side on the 2nd. gen's, to put one in would be a big PITA
