Default 85 d2500, couple questions

its a standard 4-spd, think its got a new exhaust on it(sounds sexy as hell). what kind of mpg would i expect to get? also what steps should i take to make sure i get the max mileage i can? any help would be very much appreciated, thanks.

What size engine and carb? If you got the 360CID with the 4-BBL you can expect to roughly get between 10-12.

did you mean 318 2-bbl? the truck could get anywhere from 10-20 mpg depending on how well it is tuned. the better it is tuned the better fuel milage you get.
