Default GM Shackles/Dodge Trucks

The leaf springs on my D100 are 2 1/2 inches wide, theoretically couldn't I use 2" drop shackles from an '88-'98 K1500 since it also has 2 1/2 inch wide springs?

in theory it should work.
The bolt holes would need to line up perfectly. Other than that, steel is steel, unless cut and drilled.
start modifying a piece like that and you'll lose strength.

Even if the holes are different you can always use steel bushings. The K1500 is a heavy half ton at 2600 lbs payload.

if it don't work you could away take the shackles back and get the propper ones.

It looks like the spring holes and width are the same as an '86-'96 Dakota. Anyone know of Drop Shackles for that vehicle?
