Default Can I use the Ramcharger gas tank?

Wondering if I can use a Ramcharger center mount gas tank so I can run true duals on my D250.

I know I'd have to move the filler neck to the rear of the bed, but otherwise can it work?

Default ramcharger gas tank swap?

I dont see why it would not work. I think the only reason the original tanks were side saddle was because of the spare tire mounting. Remember, the spare tire in a ramcharger is mounted inside of the body, therefore it had more room for the gas tank. I suspect all you would have to do would be to remove the spare tire mounting crossmember and associated pieces and replace with the ramcharger gas tank stuff. Might check this out myself as my bud has a ramcherger (84) and I am contemplating a 360 swap. More room for dual exhaust would be great.
.........Do the ramcharger's have bigger tanks??........(I've got a shortbox, 1980 w150.)

The Ramcharger tank I was looking at was like 28 gallons I think, but it was larger than the one for, well at least for the 93 150.
I believe you have to make some custom mounts for the tank... just a couple piece of old bed frame should work.
I was helping a friend look at the idea for his truck while we had the bed and cab off... Other than that, I'm not sure what kind of electrical or line work would need to be done

wow! 28 gallons. That would do wonders for extra traction too. Extraweight that far back and all. Yeah, of course you would have to reroute the filler or relocate the gas door . Also need to reroute the fuel lines. I assume the sending unit would be compatible with the P/U gauge. Yeah, extend the wire for the sending unit too.
I think it's doable!! (darn, I just missed a decent ramcharger at the salvage yard too. They crushed it before I could score any parts off it. Oh well, they'll be more)
