4 wheel drive light
I read Dodge_Ram_3500's thread, and didn't seem to be having the same problem as him, and I also didn't want to hijack his thread. Please forgive me if the answers there pertain to me as well.
I have a 1993 Ram with a manual tranny and a Cummins motor. Today I noticed that the 4WD indicator light was on, and won't go off. The hubs aren't locked, and the Tranny is definately in 2H. I haven't noticed any difference in the handling (hence why I wasn't sure if it is the same). Is there any chance it could have just come on and needs reset? Or should I be checking out the switch, like you guys told DR3500?

Do you have manual locking or automatic locking of the front axle? Mine is 5.2L with auto locking when I shift to 4X4 The thing that turns on my light is a switch on the vaccum actuator which is on the top of the left front axle. It is run by vaccum from the tranaxle switch. When vaccum pulls the fork the light comes on and locks the axles.
