90 Ram 150... 318w auto 3 speed

Hi folks... This has been happening since I bought the truck 6 months ago. I added some Lucas Trans Fix, and It got a little better, but under slow acceleration, it hits second hard. No noises, and If I nail the gas from start it shifts smoother... The shift between 2nd and 3rd is normal under all circumstances. Weather doesn't seem to make a difference at all... Any thoughts?

Improper linkage adjustment can cause late harsh 1-2 shifts. I would definitely check that first.
