So I looked all over the stupid carb but I am not finding any markings or numbers other than the word "Holley" on the top.

So it is obviously a Holly carb but it doesn't look anything like the ones in the Hanes manual so I don't know what rebuild kit to buy. Can someone either tell me what model it is by looking at these pics or can you tell me where the model number is on the carb itself.

Thanks!

that is a holley model 2280, when going to buy a rebuild kit just make sure you aren't buying the California one. personally i'd switch it out with a rochester 2 barrel.

The damn thing is too small from the factory. Tear off that intake and go 4bbl!

those stock 2bbl are not too small. they are just perfect for the 318. the 4bbls are a bit of a waste on the 318.

There Ok for a stocker, but that's it. It will handle a 600-to-650cfm 4 barrel, and open up the exhaust abit, and you'd be suprised!

i don't think you can just upgrade the carb without upgrading the intake manifold for a 2 or 4 barrel carb.

If don't wanna spend the dough on a new 4-barrel manifold, maybe you can find one off a "super" six. These came with a 2-barrel carb. or make an adapter. I'd look for a manifold first.
