Unhappy Flywheel help?

I have a 1987 W150 with a 225 and an NP435 4spd. I'm swapping out the motor with another 225 from a 2wd/auto parts truck and I'm having issues with the flywheel/clutch. The clutch that was in the truck was an 11" and the flywheel was stepped - deeply. My mechanic friend who has been helping me with the project and getting parts for me said that the stepped flywheel was only used for three years and that the pressure plate was no longer available for it. He finally found a standard flywheel and clutch kit that seemed to fit (one tooth difference on the ring gear and the whole kit stacked up to the same height from crank end to throwout bearing.) This is a 10" clutch but, what the heck, it seemed like it was the only option. When I went to put it all together today, I found that the bolt pattern is different that that on my crankshaft - the new flywheel is asymmetrical and the old one appears to be symmetrical. In any case, it won't fit. Now what do I do? Is it really impossible to get the pressure plate for my stepped flywheel, can get the existing pressure plate rebuilt?
I apologize if this question has been answered a dozen times, but I couldn't find anything on it. Thanks.

Try a few things, junkyard, dealer, or mopardiscountparts.com.
Good luck, I dont know the answer but here are some options.

What you have there is a flywheel for a smallblock. On both engines, the bolt holes are asymetrical. However, on the slant six, there is also one bolt hole that is out of line as compared to the small block v8 . Thus negating the use of the V8 flywheel on the slant. This problem CAN be fixed by a machinist. Just have him "slot" the hole a bit.(the one that doesn't line up) [drill etc].
That being said, I think you have another problem that you haven't thought of. The starter on the belhousing that you have is meant to be used with a flywheel that is 11 inches. 10 inch flywheel probably wont work. Lay them on top of each other, is one bigger around than the other?
Ok, if they are different, and the ring gears dont have the same diameter, the starter wont engage the ring-gear correctly.
What I would do is to go to NAPA auto parts and get a flywheel for a slant six. You will have to get the "flat" flywheel and clutch. And make sure that the ring gears line up. You need to have a good parts guy. The guys a NAPA usually can figure it out.

At the top of the main 1st Gen Ram page there is a NEW THREAD button. Just click on that for your own thread.
The power steering pump is the culprit. Quit torturing it and it will quit torturing you.
