Which transmission do I have?
I have an '87 W150 with the 5.2 automatic. I noticed it's leaking pretty bad from the transmission pan, and I'm trying to find the gasket to buy to replace it. Can someone tell me if for sure I have the 727? Also, is there a filter in it that I should replace along with the gasket, and what/how much trans fluid to use? Thanks. (still don't have a dang manual)

That's a good question, as I don't know. I bought the truck to restore it, and only drove it home about 2 miles, and didn't pay much attention. Is there a way I can tell by looking under it?
