2 more years until it gets the historic plate!
I've got an '87 D150, 225 with a single barrel carb. It's an Arizona truck, so no rust but the paint is pretty much shot.
Three things that are on the git er done list:
1. Change to a 2 barrel carb (any recommendations on brand a model number would be great).
2. Straightening out a passenger door ding.
3. Paint. I'm thinking of keeping it a classy primer gray for now, then going blue. It was an Air Force truck, so originally AF Blue.
I can figure out 1 and 2 no problem, but this is the first truck I've worked on and I'm not sure of the best way to remove the bed. Any advice on this would be appreciated. I'll post some project pics later.

Sorry, just joined the forum and fired off a quick post before work. Feel free to ignore anything carb related.
I don't know if the bed removal question has come up recently, but if it upsets you please let me know.

Here is a site you might find useful.

Disconnect the wiring. Disconnect the exhaust supports from the bed. Under the truck remove the fasteners from the bed attachment mounts, keep the shims if any and mark where they go. Disconnect the fuel filler and vent at the rubber hose. Buy a case of beer and invite 3 friends over for a beer and lift the bed off before the 2nd beer is opened.
