swaping a 360 for a 440

Default swaping a 360 for a 440

i have an 1993 dodge d250 and i was woundering how difficult it is to swap my 360 to the 440 and if it bolts right up or do i have to do any major mods.... thanks for all the help

This question has been asked many, many times.

Mounts are totally different. You'll need a new tranny too. Possibly driveshaft.

Being it'a a 250, you have alot of room to work with. You will need a big block tranny and poss drive shaft change. Change the mounts, they have kits to do this with, check local speed shops or even ebay. The power difference will be noticed. You might want to use bigger tortion bars too cause of the extra weight.

there is an adapter from patc that adapts small block tranny to big block tranny, also 440source .com has the mounts and many other parts on their site cheap. its not hard, get the adaptor plate and you will keep your current driveline.
