Default big plans for a 1993 D150 with a 5.9L magnum

Hello I'm new here but I've used forums before, here's a lil background, I am a huge dodge fan always have been as is almost every guy in my family, so when it was time to get my first vehicle it had to be a dodge truck. I was 18 at the time working part time so i didn't have much money. so I knew it would end up being a 1st Gen dodge ( I like them better anyways) what i found was a freaking miracle. in the back of a nissan dealership i found a 1993 dodge ram D150 reg cab long box LE, it was in really good shape, as i started to look at it i found it was fully loaded cruise , p/windows , p/locks , a/c , it even had power mirrors and everything worked, then i looked at the odometer at the time it read 113 532km i thought that was really good, they knew nothing about this truck, plus they were only asking $999 for the truck but the thing that sold me was when we popped the hood, not only did it have a V8 it was a Magnum 5.9L (MPI) so as soon as i saw that i looked at the salesman and said " I'll Take It " lol now I've never seen or heard of another 1st gen with a factory magnum 5.9L, I know that 93 was suppose to be the first year for this but i wanted to know if anybody on here has one or has seen one? this is just the start of this thread i will make another post telling what I've done to the truck so far and what I'm planning for the truck, and hopefully you guys can give me some tips or advice, maybe even some ideas! thanks.

thanks, so here is what I've done to the truck so far: K&N air filter, full stainless exhaust starting with a 3" magnaflow hi-flo cat leading to a single flowmaster super 44 muffler with a 3" inlet and dual 2.5" outlets ending up with 2 4" magnaflow chrome tips behind both back tires, (sounds amazing) , throttle body spacer, TC Lock-up switch, added 2 leafs per side in the rear, all new shocks, locker out back (want a limited slip), 2" coil spacers up front , sony explod stereo and front speakers. thats it for now but here is what i was thing about doing: shorty headers (ones that bolt to factory Y-pipe), jet computer chip?, and my newest idea im gunna do a 4x4 swap on this truck, there is 2 ways i can do this: i can go get a front axle and leaf springs and bolt it on my frame, or i can get a 4x4 frame with drive-train still on it, my buddy has a 93 dodge W250 the body and trany are junk, hes keeping the cummins out of it, i could get the frame and suspension from him for next to nothing, but i think i would still want to use half ton axles? has any body turned a 2wd A518 Trany into a 4x4 trany my buddy still has the 4x4 A518 from the diesel is there any salvageable parts in it to turn mine into a 4x4? thanks for any advice

Nice truck for the money. Just a suggestion, don't waste your money on the jet chip. They are crap. You will notice a slight gain for about 100 miles and then the engine computer will relearn its way around the chip, returning everything back to stock.

that truck is in pretty good shape considering you live in ontario. i think using your friends frame and axles would be way easier.

Ok guys i need some feed back... I bought my buddies 3/4 ton parts truck (everything except the motor) trany and body are bad but i got a cast iron 205 t-case, Dana 60 front axle with manual locking hubs and a Dana 70 rear axle with a limited slip. i only paid $300 so I'd say its a good deal. so the original plan was to put my body onto the 4x4 frame, the only thing i don't like about that plan is the floor modification for the shifter. but the other plan i had was to not do a 4x4 swap just put 3/4 ton front coils in my truck and get a nice set of 31s for it. (I added 2 leafs to each side in the back, same as a 3/4 ton) so the back sits a bit higher then the front so if i could get the front up close to level i would be happy, has any one tried this with good outcome? if anyone has pics of a 2wd lifted in the front i would love to see them? what do you guys think? thanks for all opinions and tips
