Default Wheel Spacers

So I may be getting some new tires soon. Currently have 32x11.50-15 and they fit fine with the 2 inch body lift on my truck. I want to go for 33's when I get the new tires, but I think I will have some clearance issues at full lock. Would wheel spacers solve this? If so, can you recommend any?

No, wheel spacers will make the interference with the fenders worse. The farther the outside edge of the tire is away from the centerline of the ball joints, the longer the tangential arc of motion of your tire when you turn. The tire will cover a greater area in it's full turn sweep, running into the fenders easier. You can go to a wheel with more backspacing, which will pull the tire farther under the fenders. This will counteract the extra width of the bigger tire and make the outer tangential arc similar to what you have now, but you may run into problems with the inside of the tire hitting your leaf springs at full turn. This would also raise your center of gravity and make the vehicle slightly less stable in extreme handling circumstances.

If you need any of this clarified, feel free to ask. I'll try to translate better from engineer-speak...

1/2" of increased tire height isn't going to cause him to flip. [8D]

I had a problem with my tire rubbing on the drag link joint under full-right lock, but then I put a 2" drop (instead of 3") pitman arm on and it took care of it.

Wheel spacers are just bad news all around. I'm not a fan.

Well, I was saying if he adds 1/2" to the tire hight, but adds 2" of backspacing to each wheel, he'll essensially be 3" narrower and 1/2" taller than he is now. Won't casue a problem under normal circumstances, but might in extreme off-camber situations. I've been ****-up quite a few times while 4-wheeling, it makes a long day much longer.

Spacers plus offset wheels will also destroy your wheel bearings much faster.

Wow, took me awhile to decipher that one Snafu, lol. But I get it. I'll just stick with what I have until I get a real lift. Thanks for the input fella's!
