Quick help please???
I have a 1987 D150 and I just rebuilt the carb (Holley 2280). I am having an extremely hard time hooking back up the fast idle rod to the fast idle cam. I have the diagram on how it's supposed to go, but the rod just don't want to slip in the cam. Is there something I'm missing or forgot to do.?

Ok, so I finally got everything hooked back up. Just for future reference, if anybody needs it, I had to take the top part back off the carb, put the fast idle rod in the cam and then slide the choke unload tab over the rod.....talk about bass ackward. After I got it finished I took it out for a spin and it did pretty good. It bogged down on me one time pretty bad but then cleared up. It still don't seem as though I'm getting the right throttle response, still seems sluggish. Someone before me took the air/fuel mixture screw caps off, so I'm thinking it might need adjustment. I am also going to check the timing as well...is there anything else that could be causing it to be sluggish?
