Default Replacing my DODGE nameplate

So, I bought this 89 d250, and i love it. It looks like a big turd, but is mechanically sound all over. The problem is, its missing the DODGE nameplate on the hood. This is driving me CRAZY!!! It has the ram, but no dodge. I can see three holes, and one has a little bit of post broken off in it.

My local junkyard has a few of these trucks, so getting the part for cheap isn't my problem. It looks like I have to take the outer skin off of the hood to remove or replace this. I really don't want replacing my nameplate to be harder than replacing my hood. Has anybody else had this problem? Can anybody verify if this is what I have to do?

On my 81 the dodge name just prys out from the hood. I have removed it and replaced it multiple times. It kind of just looks like nails holding it in. Hope this helps.

Ok. So considering they are similar, i won't have to worry about ripping anything apart? Cool. Very cool. Thank you.

I live a few miles east of Monroeville. Would you be interested in selling yours? I could definitely have my stepdad pick it up for me, because he works mostly in North Hills.

But if it comes to it, there is a junkyard a mile from my house, and I know they have at least five 1st gen rams rotting away. What I don't know however, is what random price they feel like sticking on it monday.

Yes,I will not be using it,I may even have one extra.
I can not see it being more than 5 to 7 dollars, any more than that and I would tell them forget it.
If you do go junkin on Monday,if you see a rear standard (not step)bumper on one of the trucks or on a ramcharger could you please let me know,I am looking for a good one.

Just paid $2 for one from a 1984. I only got a good look at one truck, and it had a step bumper. It was in nice shape though.
