I just got a bunch of brochures for 91' Dodge trucks, and got looking at the different pictures of engines they came with. I just realized the 318 they got picture has the altrnator on the top on the pulley system, and various other differences compared to the 360. Looking at the motor under the hood of my truck, its identical to the 360 engine. Im just checking because the sticker under the hood says its a 318, but that could be a different hood, or the engines been swapped. What do you guys thinks?

 

A swap is always possible. A 318-360 conversion would be fairly straight forward really. Is there a build sheet anywhere else in your truck? You can try decoding the VIN online. You can't get any real specific stuff for free, but you can find engine size.

About the brochures. Are they free? Can I order one somewhere?

 

Thanks for the info, I'll take a look tommorow. As for the brochures, I bought them off a guy on Kijiji. There is a guy in Newfoundland that has some older Dodge pickup brochures, but no 91', he mails them out. I cant find his ad tho, I'll let ya kno If I do, I'd try Ebay too, probably some on there.
