Thumbs down Im stuck. Im also sad. Very sad.

Got stuck today at a friend's sister's house. They bought a farm house in need of restoration, and I volunteered to help. I loaded my truck up with carpets and mattresses and tried to turn around in a downhill pulloff beside their driveway, so that my bed would face their burn pile. And i slipped lower, and lower, and lower. And now I'm stuck. I have ZERO traction. I can't even move in my rut any more. And the jeep they sent to tow me out almost got stuck. Tomorrow I shall return with a shovel.

Anybody else have a bad experience with their truck today?

Be very careful when trying to rock an automatic as this is a true weak point of the Torqueflites. You can easily blow out the case if you don't stop completely between forward and reverse. A tow truck is much cheaper than a transmission and a tow truck.

Oh. Geez. I didn't know they had that problem. I'll be sure to avoid that when I head back for round two today.

Getting stuck is always fun, sounds like you got er bad. I've been stuck twice, and its because I put the Michelin LTX's on for winter time, once I just pulled out a GMC and a Ford, and I tried to turn around got stuck in a rut, ended up having to cut down some trees to get them out the way and dig my own path LOL. The 2nd time I was really stuck, and the only thing that could make it back was a backhoe, that cost me a bottle of Vodka....

if you have a farm jack that might help you get unstuck.
