will a 63 383 bolt up to a 1981 A727 Trans?

Default will a 63 383 bolt up to a 1981 A727 Trans?
i have a 1981 dodge d150 and it has a 225 slant 6 auto 727. will a 1963 383 bolt up to my 727 trans?

Definately no. The slant six has a special bellhousing just for it, so the starter sits on top/side of the motor. Chrysler also has small and big block bellhousings. You should need a big block bellhousing.
