Lifted 1st Gens... lets see 'em!
Couldn't tell you, yet. I still haven't swapped out the gears. I looked it up on a chart somewhere, and 4.56's will give it closest to stock mpg's and all that good stuff, with a little extra torque. I'm going to repaint the cab, fenders, and hood as I screwed up on it. Just got the paint today. $150 for a quart of that paint... and that's considered cheap.
Im looking at $280 for the rear and $215 for the front plus 2 $80 rebuild kits to do 4.10. It doesn't appear to be any difference in cost going to 4.56.
Anyone have experience running a locker or limited slip in these trucks? That decision is what is holding me up right now.

what all is that replacing?
It will replace the ring and pinion gears in the front and back. The master rebuild kits have all the new seals, bearings, sleeves and shims to do the rebuild correctly.
Dang dude, thats alot of $ for just paint, i have been doin some custom painting on my 87 power ram and i have just been using regular primer and automotive spray paint and it looks pretty darn good, it aint professional or anything but it is the best paint job i have seen a average guy do lol ill get some pics up on here if u want? (response to devildogge's painting comment)
