is it an automatic? a 318 should bolt up to the trannny if it is an automatic but a 318 will not just bolt into your truck. you need a motor mount extension for the one side.

i don't know if there is a place to get a motor mount extention. i had mine made for my truck. i don't know if the fly wheel and clutch would be the same for the 318. i think the tranny should bolt up to the 318.

If the automatic will bolt up that mens both engines have the same mounting configuration which means the the 4 speed bell housing will also fit both. You should check with the parts house about the size clutch and flywheel for each to see if they are the same. I would think they are not.
